About the work:

In Myths, Ravens maintain important and dangerous roles. Tricksters creating the world, god-like informants, cosmic spies, angelic provisional messengers, and very often harbingers of Death. Naturally, artists and poets are endlessly fascinated, and I am not immune to the fascination. If all the despair we felt manifested as beasts, a cloud of ravens would suite the grief we carry.

This piece was the first I made in the Grief House collection, and it helped create the guiding vision for the show. The “thesis.” The body, a house of untamed grief. The following works explored those boundaries.
